We believe that research and innovation only reach their full potential when society understands, values, and takes part in them. Through creative storytelling, educational activities, and dialogue with young people and citizens, Future8 seeks to make the relevance of collaborative research tangible and engaging.

To this end, we specifically believe in the power of sports to make the mechanisms and value of collaboration in R&I activities more relatable – especially for a younger generation.

Just like in sports, collaboration, trust, and shared goals are what turn individual excellence into collective achievement. We use accessible and participatory formats to communicate complex scientific ideas in ways that speak to people. This includes collaborations with schools, cultural organisations, and youth initiatives that help translate research into shared learning experiences.

These experiences make the often-abstract world of science come alive, helping participants experience what it means to work together towards a common goal — in science as in sport.

Our goal: to spark curiosity, build understanding, and inspire new generations to engage.
