As a member of the Advisory Board, Jörg Scherer will contribute Future8’s perspective and experience in building and orchestrating research-driven innovation ecosystems, knowledge valorisation and technology transfer.
The EU-funded „widerAdvance Facility“ aims to unlock the full potential of research and innovation emerging from Widening Countries and Europe’s Outermost Regions. By strengthening the visibility, accessibility and long-term impact of EU-funded projects, it supports knowledge valorisation, stronger innovation ecosystems and a more integrated European Research and Innovation landscape.
The expert meeting and study visit in Tenerife will bring together experts and innovation actors to explore how universities, research infrastructures, technology centres, industry and public authorities can interact more effectively to strengthen regional research excellence and innovation. A particular focus will be on knowledge valorisation, technology transfer, regional innovation governance and collaboration with industry, while creating opportunities for peer learning and exchange between Widening Countries and Europe’s Outermost Regions.
For Future8, the meeting reflects a core ambition: understanding how strong innovation ecosystems can turn excellent research and emerging technologies into sustainable impact across regions and across Europe.
